Job Description:

Perform the month-end financial close process including the preparation and posting of journal entries, the preparation of month end accruals and the preparation of general ledger account reconciliations.
An ideal candidate for this role is someone that is willing to learn challenging tasks and has the ability to work well both independently and with other members of the accounting team and company. 

Technical 85%

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Complete month end closing journal entries. Review and analyze monthly profit & loss statement. Prepare and review schedules for year end financial statement audit.

Leadership 5%

• Develop and document accounting policies

Project Management 5%

• Complete assigned projects that may involve working with other departments

Operational 5%

• Develop and document SOPs (standard operating procedures) for assigned tasks

Individual Competencies

• Analytical Thinking/Reasoning: Examines data to grasp issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial accounting concepts. Awareness of GAAP rules and ability to research accounting tools when necessary to determine an appropriate answer. Requirements:

• 4 year college degree


• 
  2-4 years of Experience in Accounting
  


• Microsoft Office - Proficient


• Microsoft Word - Proficient
