We are currently hiring a Regional Marketing Manager in Columbus, OH or Nashville, TN.
The Regional Marketing Manager is responsible for the following key areas that are integral to achieving the annual regional volume and financial goals:
Development and execution of the geographic "go-to-market" strategy
Identifying and leveraging local opportunities that align with the brand and region strategy
Presenting local, regional or divisional opportunities to the Divisional Marketing Manager & Division Directors with focus on cost and financial, market and drinker impact
Maximize the volume return of the regional Local Marketing and Point of Sale budgets
Communication to region sales team of pertinent Brand, Promotional, Trade and POS elements
This requires the Regional Marketing Manager to work closely with Division Marketing Managers, Division Directors, Region Managers and Brand teams to build and execute national, divisional and regional plans to achieve brand, distribution and volume goals in their specified divisions.
What You'll Do:
Create an activation plan for National promotional & trade programming that amplifies the impact in the target market(s)
Identify local opportunities, both trade and consumer, to supplement national strategies. This could include local on and off premise activation, consumer promotions/partnerships and PR/digital.
Identify execution and volume gaps in the georgraphy versus plan for all brands through analysis of distribution impact and rate of sale. Create a plan for closing the gaps through local programming and activation to present to Sales Leadership and Brand Directors.
Identify local sponsorships and partnerships of venues and events. Evaluation includes;
Cost and contractual obligations
Legal requirements and approval
Brand, PR & Creative involvement
Impact on targeted consumer
Potential for retail involvement
Event Execution
For Tier 1 Events- attend and ensure flawless execution through advanced and continual communication with Brand Event Execution team as well as local sales manager.
Tier 2 & 3 Events- ensure Sales (DMs/ MMs) have the necessary information and tools needed to execute a successful event (POS kits, custom templates)
Coordinate and lead project management with the Creative Services & Procurement teams to develop, expedite and deliver new Trade Programs in support of local On & Off Premise initiatives
Work directly with the Divisional Marketing Manager to manage ongoing programs and drive communication on best practices, upcoming programming, results & opportunities
Produce creative presentations for the local sales teams to leverage with their retailers to secure programming
Present new programs at Region & District meetings to drive awareness, training and ultimately successful programs
Attend & Present as requested at Wholesaler & Retail calls as the local marketing expert to sell incremental programming
Create a strong working relationship with key wholesalers
Consistent and proactive communication with the local sales team on monthly promotional and Brand programs
Work with the Division Director, Region Manager and Divisional Marketing Manager on a plan to maximize the ROI on Local Marketing and Point of Sale budgets.
Work with Sales and Brand leadership to tailor annual brand plans according to regional opportunities and focus
Assist in the development of the annual Brand Plans by localizing opportunities
What We're Looking For:
5-8 years experience in trade marketing, brand management and/or sales management. Experience working closely with or as part of a sales team with a strong understanding of developing and executing sales and promotion plans.
Demonstrated success in program development with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve results. Proven ability to manage multiple projects while setting priorities and working under strict deadlines. Ability to manage workload and cope in a constantly changing and demanding environment. Strong analytical skills, creative thinking, and strategic thinking are critical. Experience in staff management is preferred. Experience presenting to small and large groups. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
