Parts Sales Expeditor - 15499 at EmpirecatP in Mesa, Arizona

Shift : 2 

Start Time :  2:30 pm 

End Time :  11:30 pm 

Schedule Days : Monday - Friday 

Position Status: Full Time (40 hrs week) 




Job Summary:



Expedite Caterpillar Morton short parts.  Review and adjust backorders.  Maintain daily Morton short report.  Expedite Customer literature software and manage annual subscription billing.





Essential Functions:




  1. Expedite assigned Morton short back orders.

  2. Teach parts department personnel the use of ANTARES.

  3. Avoid customer service delays.

  4. Arrange shipment of assigned Special Handle orders.

  5. Prepare and distribute the Morton short list daily.

  6. Expedite Customer SIS, ET, and related soft/hard ware for subscriptions.

  7. Handle all orders within required deadlines and cut-off times.

  8. Works safely at all times.  Adheres to all applicable safety policies.  Complies with all company policies, procedures and standards.




Additional Responsibilities:




  1. Review and adjust backorders.

  2. Follow-up on items not received from CAT depots.

  3. Handle customer billing of special handle orders.


  1. Handle annual subscription billing to customers.


  1. Submit discrepancy claims to CAT.

  2. Work with warranty claims office to submit claims.

  3. Maintain daily activity log on all calls and e-mail communications

  4. Prepare assigned reports as required.

  5. Travel to branch stores and customer sites as required.

  6. Must accomplish training and serve as a Green Belt in support of Empire's Six Sigma program.

  7. Works within and promotes corporate values.




Knowledge Skills and Abilities:




  1. Must have interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customer and to solve customer problems in a professional manner.

  2. Must have math skills sufficient to effectively perform job duties.

  3. Ability to maintain consistent attendance.




Education and Experience:




  1. Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

  2. Minimum 1 year experience working with CAT equipment parts.

  3. Prefer expediting experience.

  4. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
