Telescopic Boom Truck Driver

 

Job Description Summary

 

Employee essential in the mobilization of materials between facilities, job sites, and customers.

 

Requirements

 

Check all inventory in truck against purchase orders

Conducting site inspections

Organize and secure load

Assist forklift operators when loading

Deliver product and material goods in a safe and timely manner to customer's satisfaction

Coordinate delivery schedules using most efficient routes

Ability to sit/stand for various periods of time. Typical shift 8-12 hours

Safety inspection of the vehicle before delivery including tire pressure, basic fluid levels and pneumatic controls

Provide customer service

Follows policies and procedures to ensure the job is done properly

Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal efficiency level

Physical ability to operate equipment and to transport material. Position may require employee to unload truck by hand and lifting up to 50lbs/100lbs team lift

Attitude/Cooperation: Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, public

Craftsmanship and ability to follow OSHA/MSHA safety standards

Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work may be required

Ability to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety

Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completion

Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition

Candidates may eventually be crossed-trained to operate other fleet vehicles including ready mix trucks and other equipment as deemed necessary

Must pass drug test and criminal background check

 

Education/Experience

 

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

Must possess a Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)

Prior driving experience or a current Certification from a DOT compliant CDL Driving School is required
