Application Analyst – Storage/Backup (L1.5) at Cognizant in Dallas, Texas

Job Description:

We are looking for Application Analyst – Storage/Backup (L1.5) for an immediate need. This is a client-facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers.

Responsibilities:

• 1-3 years of experience as a Systems Storage and Backup Administrator


• Exposure on Monitoring both manual and tool based and experience on ticketing activities


• Good communication skills; organized with the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects


• Excellent complex problem-solving skills


• Work within a team sharing problem solving and assignments


• Windows and Linux administration skills; Active directory knowledge

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• NetApp C Mode, NetApp 7 Mode, Pure Storage, Brocade SAN Fabric switches, Netbackup, Veeam, Storeonce/Data Domain, Clumio Cloud Concept


• Knowledge and exposure on Enterprise monitoring & alerting.


• Knowledge and exposure on Backup, restore, and data recovery process.


• Knowledge and exposure on Server hardening for security best practices.


• Knowledge and exposure on Change, Incident, Problem and Release Management.


• Having NetBackup and Veeam backup management knowledge.


• Storage, Infrastructure & Lifecycle Management.


• Knowledge on Disaster Recovery planning and testing.


• Experience in Cloud for Backup and recovery would be a plus point.


• Willing to work in Rotational Shifts (4pm to 1am & 12am to 9am)
