Overview
Collaborates with business and other IT teams to develop DB solutions according to specified business requirements.
Analyzes the technical and business requirements, including functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, to develop DB systems solutions.
Resolves technical issues through debugging, research and investigation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide DB project technical leadership, oversight, best practices and schedule/scope/budget due diligence to ensure successful outcomes
Provide close oversight management of assigned BHS DB projects, including design/build engineering efforts around BHS DB’s and apps migration to platforms and solutions.
Provide DB projects oversight and execution related to CTS/BHS platforms installation and configuration procedures.
Contribute to and ensure compliance regarding the IT environment, databases and platform’s app stack, systems, regulatory and IT security standards.
Ensure Security Compliance and partner with Security Team to roll out tools.
Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic DB solutions to ensure any solution meets defined, documented existing and future state requirements.
Skills
Experience in working in Agile/Scrum development model for:
MySQL design/build/admin skills
SQL Server design/build/admin skills
DB2 design/build/admin skills
General understanding of distributed computing architectures, e.g. Client–server model
General understanding of operating system, e.g. Windows or Linux
General understanding of storage technologies and networking
General understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a database
Installing and upgrading the database server and application tool
Allocating system storage and planning storage requirements for the database system
Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers
Enrolling users and maintaining system security
Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement
Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
Planning for backup and recovery of database information
Maintaining archived data
Backing up and restoring databases
Contacting database vendor for technical support
Generating various reports by querying from database as per need
Managing and monitoring data replication
Experience working on an environment mostly of custom developed software applications
Experience with Agile & SAFe practices and processes
Experience with Multiple DB types: SQL, MySQL, DB2
Measures
Timeliness, completeness and accuracy of assigned deliverables.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
DBA certifications (any of: SQL, MySQL, DB2)
2+ years hands on DBA role experience
Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in revenue cycle management
Experience with accounts receivables
Demonstrable problem solving abilities with the aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems
Experience in EPIC, Allscripts, or other various practice management systems is a plus.
Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments
