The Senior Program Manager works directly with the Career Readiness Business Unit leadership and is responsible for creating and defining strategic career readiness programs with a dedicated focus to achieving key growth goals. Responsibilities include: establishing product frameworks that are holistic and drive growth, leading strategic planning across the CRE organization including activities such as setting key deliverables across multiple projects and programs, engaging appropriate team members as well as partners to develop solutions, and establishing framework for communication plans.

  • Identify market problems and opportunities to create programs with best practices that help grow the market penetration

  • Work collaboratively with team members to articulate, evolve and support the growth strategy

  •  Define new aspects CRE product and program offering, including framework for wraparound services definition and investment case preparation

  • Develop strategic project plans specifying strategic goals, scheduling, issue resolution, risks, contingency plans, and as needed, prioritization of in-house and third-party resources

  • Create best practices, processes, communication tools and resources for CRE initiatives;

  • Work directly with multiple teams across the Career Readiness team and K12, including external vendors and partnered companies as needed, to assist in guiding business requirements for new program definition

  • Engage with Market Research team to identify unique market research needs and to advocate for necessary enhancements or investment;

  • Conduct research as needed and upon demand to assist with program completion and optimization

  • Understand the market and customer experience, helping to bridge between disparate initatives

  • Successfully collaborate with and influence other departments and organizations to ensure success of Career Readiness Education objectives.

  • Assist as needed with client pitches, partner presentations for use by executive team

  • Ensure a common understanding of programs to align stakeholders, third party partners and team members in order to develop program internal documents updated and delivered within timeframe and budget

  • Maintain a curated view of the CRE strategic roadmap that is socialized weekly to the executive team

  • Prepare presentations and dashboards weekly by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information – both in detail and at an executive level

  • Work with multiple teams within K12 to get to market new CRE programs across lines of business

  • Optimize processes, tools, metrics, and staff to enable effective and efficient delivery of all assigned initiatives

  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to develop and validate successful dashboards & communication of progress to KPIs

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Minimum Required Qualifications 



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field of study AND

  • Eight (8) years of Product or Program support experience OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Outstanding Powerpoint & communication skills – able to create strong, visually appealing presentations and synthesize complex information into simple and clear stories for executive audience

  • Able to quickly take rough ideas and create crisp and visually appealing dashboards, presentations to help teams align and move to execution

  • Able to lead cross functional meetings with working teams and executives with appropriate agendas and notes

  • Ability to work across multiple job levels and lead matrixed teams to achieve results

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high visibility and deadline driven process

  • Self- starter with strong team & client success orientation

  • Problem solver

  • Consistent success in working in a team environment

  • Consistent success in organizing new processes, teams and products through the full lifecycle from concept to launch

  • Excellent Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and Web application skills

  • Experience creating & maintaining dashboards, executive reports

  • Outstanding time management and organization skills

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (for example: strategic planning, team meetings, school visits)

  • Ability to clear required background check

Desired Qualifications:  



  • Existing / Prior K12 and educational experience a plus
