Job Description:

We are looking for a Market Intelligence Manager to join our team. This role will develop and manage a market intelligence program in support of the Associations' focus on expanding market presence. Monitor marketplace trends and intelligence, synthesize relevant findings, and collaborate with leaders to identify practical insights for sales strategy, training and product plans. Help coordinate the launch, enablement and measurement of focused sales campaigns that leverage timely opportunities to position the Associations' products and services. Guide the evolution of online tools that facilitate targeted cross-selling and prospecting.

Job Responsibilities:

Market intelligence and market insights

Monitor diverse sources of information and intelligence to assess marketplace trends and opportunities. Sources may include loan product portfolio reports; market share and sales win/loss reports; customer experience feedback and brand awareness surveys; internal marketplace reviews; industry sector updates; and third-party reports and analyses. Synthesize findings, identify themes or issues that impact our business, and collaborate with sales teams and leaders to surface the insights that have practical application for sales strategy, training and product plans. Facilitate knowledge sharing through proactive communication and assessment of findings. Develop competitor profiles and help coordinate ad hoc research as needed.

Sales programs and sales campaigns

Help identify, plan, and launch focused sales campaigns that leverage timely opportunities to position the Associations' products and services. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and validate program themes based on current or emerging market trends. Work with sales leaders to develop internal program briefs, sales playbooks, and prospecting lists to help launch programs. Coordinate pricing, promotion, and the internal systems necessary to track and report on results. Monitor and report program outcomes.

Online sales tools

Guide the evolution of data mining tools that help identify cross-sell opportunities, competitor relationships, and new prospect opportunities in the Associations' service area. Educate and help sales teams leverage the insights available in the tools. In collaboration with a data analyst from Risk Management, provide the end-user business perspective to guide the vision for how to enhance the tools in the future to maximize their value. Serve as subject matter expert to guide the integration of key market and customer intelligence data in the Associations' CRM system.

Additional functions of the position may include:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in agribusiness, agricultural economics or education, marketing, business administration, or a closely related field required.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in agricultural lending or agriculture sales and marketing with demonstrated knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities that exist for agricultural producers and lenders.
