The Recreational Therapist will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to assist patients in regaining or developing their highest functional level considering their impairments. A Bachelor's degree is required for this PRN/per diem Recreational Therapist opportunity in our Behavioral Health department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Activities Therapy.
- Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) required within 60 days of hire.
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills.
Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required upon hire.
- One year experience working in therapeutic recreation programs preferred.Current CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist), MT-BC (Board Certified Music Therapist), ATR-BC (Board Certified Art Therapist) or BC-DMT (Board Certified Dance /Movement Therapist).
