What You Will Do In This Role:

The Service Associate II is responsible for the general appearance of resilient floor and carpeted surfaces in corridors, patient rooms, public areas, offices, treatment rooms and any other areas deemed necessary by the Supervisor. Performs the major cleaning and refinishing in assigned area in accordance with standard departmental procedures and hospital objective at the Medical Facilities.

Essential Job Functions:

• 
  .Performs cleaning functions in
  assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.


• Dust mops and damp/wet mop hard
  floor surfaces and stairwells as scheduled.


• Prepares chemicals, supplies
  and equipment and takes to assigned areas.


• Vacuums all carpeted corridors
  and lobbies, cleans lights and vents when requested, washes walls, ducts, and
  buffs, strips and refinishes floors.


• Performs ancillary tasks, i.e.,
  moving beds, exchanging cubicle curtains and drapes, replaces broken
  furnishings, and delivers supplies.


• Delivers and removes
  Bio-Medical boxes and other items too large to fit in the trash chute,
  exchanges recycling containers and delivers to loading dock as needed, cleans
  equipment and ES closet at shifts end.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

Must read, speak and understand the English language. Prior cleaning experience in an institution is desired, but not mandatory. Specific requirements of the position can be learned on the job.
