What You Will Do

As a Channel Marketing intern, students will support the channel marketing function of the Global Ducted Systems product business unit. The channel marketing function is responsible for the development and implementation of programs, promotions and tools to support sales enablement and customer activation. Students selected for this role will have direct interaction with leaders, field sales and customers. Interns supporting this function will have the unique ability to ideate, develop and own a variety of assignments that make a direct impact for our customers.

How You Will Do It

• Delivery of presentations, videos, collateral and additional assets to assist channel partners and field sales better engage with and understand channel marketing programs, promotions and tools. Students will gain valuable experience delivering assets developed in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe InDesign.


• Support the Channel Marketing Help Desk by answering questions via email and telephone about programs, promotions and tools while shepherding issues to resolution leveraging several internal and supplier resources. Students will have hands-on experience engaging customers and be using Avaya One-X Communicator, Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Service Cloud.


• Assist with projects that will support our performance monitoring and management resource in delivering essential reports, analyses and dashboards. Students will gain tangible experience offering actionable insights utilizing tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau and Microsoft Excel.


• Identify and offer suggestions for key opportunities to further improve function as it relates to customer experience, processes and general operations. Students will learn how to develop a business case and develop solutions.


• Students are encouraged to own the ideation and delivery of projects requiring them to engage directly with sales force, suppliers and other teams.


• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Qualifications

Required

• Undergraduate student in pursuit of a degree in journalism, advertising, education, arts, business, marketing or similar field at an accredited US college or university


• Excellent English language communications skills—written and verbal


• Highly organized, detail-oriented with strong planning, execution and time management skills


• Outstanding interpersonal skills, as well as an articulate and friendly problem-solving attitude


• Confident, able to speak up in meetings and work with a team of diverse talent


• Ability to work well virtually, within a team environment and independently on projects

Preferred

• Experience in training, education, marketing, business and/or arts in a non-profit, for profit or campaign environment


• French and/or Spanish language communication skills—written and verbal


• Academic, professional or volunteer experience utilizing the following applications: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud
