The Spirit of the Position:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for architecting, building, managing, and maintaining enterprise class server systems, cloud-based services, and supporting infrastructure. Duties include maintenance of core server, cloud, and network infrastructure with requirements for enhanced security and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains server systems, cloud infrastructure, networks, security systems, telecommunication systems, and other enterprise level IT resources.
- Manages core IT infrastructure, including file servers, Office 365, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure, and all supporting components.
- Meraki firewall and switches and other networking technologies (VMWare, CITRIX, Nessus)
- Maintain patch management policy utilizing Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
- Monitors performance of systems and proactively using PRTG.
- Manages DATTO data backup operations and maintains data disaster recovery plans.
- Creates and maintains documentation related to project plans, Knowledge Base Articles
- Responses to level 2 and 3 issues from the internal support group
- Perform other related duties as requested.
Education:
- Associates Degree in a technology field or 1 to 3 years of experience.
Experience:
- At least 1 to 3 years of demonstrated experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, DNS, Office 365, MS GPO, automated backup systems, and Server Virtualization (VNXE and VXRail)
- Strong working knowledge of network architecture, devices, and communication protocols.
Skills:
- Experience migrating SQL database and web-based applications from physical servers and VMs to Azure would be an advantage.
- Ability to work to tight timelines.
- Strong proficiency with core Microsoft Office 365 Tools (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word).
- Understanding and experience of parking technology solutions would be an advantage.
- Excellent logical and problem-solving abilities.
- Microsoft training and certification will be considered a strong asset.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
