Project A - Outcomes Analysis Support: Intern will provide support with exploratory outcomes analysis based on patient reported Symptomatic Adverse Events, Social Determinants of Health needs, and other patient reported outcomes measurements. Focus will include enriching outcomes analysis with demographic/socioeconomic/social-determinant factors to determine how the impact of patient reporting on outcomes (ED/hospitalization/care interruptions) varies for BIPOC, low-SES, and patients with reported SDoH need. Intern involvement will be dependent on their analytics skills and background; may range from brainstorming and helping to define scope to application of analytical tools and skills to explore outcomes.

Project B - Questionnaire Burden and Gap Assessment: Intern will assist in reviewing the deployed and planned portfolio of Patient Reported Data questionnaires in order to identify the total questionnaire burden (i.e. total number of questions and/or questionnaires) patients are asked to respond to based on the assignment criteria and assignment overlaps at various points of care. This review will also be used to identify redundancies in content to inform potential de-implementation of redundant questions/questionnaires, as well as to identify potential gaps in data not being collected from certain populations to ensure there is equitable assessment of all patients when appropriate. This work may involve some quantitative analysis of questionnaire burden, as well as qualitative analysis of perceived burden/redundancy and gaps. Intern may also assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures to be used when developing future tools to help assess potential burden/redundancy and gaps.
