Technatomy is seeking a Business Development Director for its Federal Healthcare Business Unit. This individual will identify and manage qualified opportunity pipelines; assess and formulate winning capture strategies; and develop, maintain, and foster key relationships between the company, teaming partners, and client (NIH). This individual must have deep understanding of and prior working experience with: National Institutes of Health “NIH” (a Must), and other HHS organizations (a Desired). As the Healthcare Business Development Director, he or she will have expertise in the operations of healthcare agencies, in sales and business development strategies, and in capture and proposal development.
Position Description (Duties and Responsibilities):
Establish strong relationships with current customers to facilitate re-competes, organic growth opportunities and exceptional performance reviews
Conduct research, review, and analysis of data from several sources (i.e. historical procurement data, open source federal procurement databases, etc.) to identify new opportunities and obtain capture information
Develop and manage strategic business development pipelines of qualified opportunities
Assist in business requirements analysis, proposal win theme writing, partnership development, and opportunity gate reviews
Drive the negotiation and closing of sales opportunities
Proactively and regularly initiate client-facing development efforts
Interface with government agency representatives at all required levels
Effectively understand client needs
Maintain collaborative atmosphere by sharing input and ideas received from prospects and customers
Coordinate and support face-to-face customer meetings with senior management and C-Level Executives
Meet with clients and potential prospects on a regular basis to build and nurture the relationship
Assist in preparing and running meetings and deliver presentations to prospects
Ability to translate client needs into strong positioning and messaging to the marketplace
Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with senior client executives
Analyze market conditions and develop corresponding business strategies and recommendations for the development of new corporate capabilities

Knowledge and Skills Desired:
Must have deep understanding of and prior working experience with: National Institutes of Health “NIH” (required), and other HHS organizations (a Desired) selling or delivering related services
Demonstrated ability to penetrate new markets and leverage personal and professional relationships into quality revenue opportunities and growth
Ability to think and plan strategically and execute tactically to meet the federal growth targets
Must have experience shaping and closing a variety of opportunities including a relevant mix of program types, complexities, products, technologies, and customers

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of direct NIH (National Institutes of Health) business development or program management experience
Proficient with consulting and technical tools (MS Office Suite, analytics, etc.
Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to receive a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Education: BS or BA in related discipline desired
Work Location: Headquarters, Fairfax VA
