Using established processes, operating procedures, and Engineering drawings, this position assembles parts, components, and equipment to levels meeting the quality standards as established by Alfa Laval and demanded by our customers within the required timeframe as dictated by the master schedule.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION (outline job duties and responsibilities):
This team member will be self-motivated, driven, and technically inclined to assemble products with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
Assists team members in the assembly of mechanical components into the finished assembly or sub-assembly to defined Engineering tolerances and Engineering drawings within defined quality levels and expected time to achieve due dates.
Wires standard and non-standard electrical assemblies to within defined quality levels and expected time to achieve due dates.
Pipes standard and non-standard hydraulic assemblies to within defined quality levels and expected time to achieve due dates.
Tests completed assemblies to defined Engineering procedures, corrects any discrepancies so the product quality and function is secured.
Performs repetitive assembly tasks independently
Provides feedback to Team Leader or ALPS status board for safety, product improvement, ease of operation to reduce time, and cost savings.
Promotes the 5S culture of Alfa Laval through maintenance of tools, organizing a clean work area, and striving to increase safety and productivity
