The Corporate Functions HR Business Partner (HR BP) is an internal consultant providing a business enablement role for Corporate Functions and Sales.

Purpose of the Role

Develop and drive people strategy for their business area, alongside teams of specialists and operational support teams. Work closely with business leaders to build organizational and people capability, plan, manage and develop talent and develop strategic approaches that achieve shared organizational and talent objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The HR BP will be empowered to enable business strategy by delivering effective approaches that address the people challenges of their business area.  This includes:



  • Advising leadership on strategic people imperatives: engagement, workforce planning including organizational design, skill development, compensation, and  relevant action plans and interventions




  • Developing and executing a group-specific talent strategy, including design on attract, acquire, hire, retain, develop and reward initiatives




  • Change Management is a key function – planning and navigating through change related to organizational imperatives and transformation which impact people’s roles, work and value proposition.  The HR BP applies a talent-centric approach when creating and executing change strategies, remaining focused on driving solutions to meet the key organizational objectives




  • Managing relationship between HR CoE functions and the leaders – serves as a tollgate to receive all inputs/requests/actions to ensure the HR BP clearly communicates the group’s needs to the CoE’s to ensure alignment of the CoEs’ efforts to the group’s talent strategy.  Specifically, the HR BP establishes a close working relationship with the CoE to communicate the group’s strategy, and drive direction of strategies and programs that will align to the group’s talent strategy.





  • Building relationships and forming alliances with internal/external counterparts, communities of practice and stakeholders to scan for innovations and opportunities to drive improved organizational performance and talent engagement, development and retention.




  • Coaching and building the capability of mid and senior-level leaders to drive strong business performance by leading teams with a high degree of competence and vision, and building the next-generation of leaders to support individual and organizational growth




  • Using data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR policies and practices and understanding the landscape to continuously drive further improvements



Qualifications & Experience

Desirable – Master’s, or equivalent educational achievement plus 10+ years senior-level experience

Relevant HR or business experience gained in large complex and global organization(s) with multiple stakeholders (including matrix relationships)

Experience supporting Sales and Sales Operations roles, including sales compensation familiarity preferred

Knowledge of current Human Resources issues and trends, and evidence of Continuing Professional Development

Experience working in a diverse organization, and demonstrating a track record of developing and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives and programs

Has worked in fast-paced organizations, and has a strong bias for action and “progress over perfection”

Experience with organization design is preferred

Skills and Competencies

Role models great personal and team leadership and takes an active role in ensuring the HR Operating Model is embedded successfully;  collaborates as one HR team
