Project Procurement Buyer at Arcadis U.S.Inc. in Highlands Ranch, Colorado

Job Description:

Arcadis seeks a Project Procurement Buyer to function as a key member of the Arcadis North America Procurement team to identify suppliers as appropriate for a project or category, managing competitive bids, negotiating, and awarding contracts, resolving supplier and contract issues, ensuring adherence to Procurement Policy, creating, and driving savings and other incentives and any other procurement activity required to support the business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Help design, manage, and execute a strategic RFP process for major projects for the Arcadis Business Lines (environment, water, infrastructure). This includes bid strategy formulation, market research, creating and managing the RFP process, recommendation of vendor selection, and final contract negotiations;
• Ensure adherence to and support Procurement policies, procedures, and systems to implement a uniform method of work approaches that delivers exceptional performance values for Arcadis and its clients;
• Understand and be current on changing market conditions with regard to availability and cost of procurement resources as well as movement and trends in the pricing of materials, equipment and services;
• Support third party spend for projects primarily in the Environmental category;
• Effectively communicate with clients, suppliers and subcontractor management, internal functional groups regarding company and procurement issues;
• Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholder groups to advocate best in class procurement practices;
• Work independently and consistently in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to meet goals and deadlines.

Key Attributes/Requirements:

• Project Procurement experience;
• Good level of proficiency in business computer applications including good Excel skills;
• Possesses a strong client focus, as demonstrated by a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work assignments and new learning opportunities;
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles, and practices;
• Understands how the procurement functions integrate with and impact other functions in the project delivery process;
• Ability to clearly articulate point of view orally and in writing;
• Ability to quickly grasp business objectives and strategies and how service offerings support the attainment of those objective.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Required Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in Procurement;
• Must have 2 years of experience in project procurement experience preferably in infrastructure, water, environmental remediation, or similar industry.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS/MBA preferred
• Oracle experience preferred
• Experience working in a large organization, preferably Fortune 500 company, preferred
• Background in Engineering or Construction preferred

Full time positions also come with annual PTO days and at certain levels a bonus program may apply.

The Salary range for this role is $77,792.00-$120,640.00 (of our internal ranges) for Colorado based positions only. Other locations will vary in salary range.
