The Ohio Department of Health is seeking temporary employees, who can work 40 hours per week (note, staff may be asked to work over 40 hours) , to assist the Ohio Immunization Program in our vaccine response activities. Primary duties:
Provide onboarding and outreach for new immunization providers who register online to receive public vaccine
Assure vaccine providers have the capacity to provide patient care (i.e. give immunizations), appropriately store vaccine inventory, order vaccines online and report doses given in ImpactSIIS through education, training and support for their assigned providers
Support enrollment of new providers to receive public funded vaccine
Collect and record information into a database
Provide medical providers with approved information about Ohio vaccination procedures
Use a telephone, computer and electronic equipment to communicate and capture data
Maintain daily contact with supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in public health, medical or related field
- Experience in providing group training or giving presentations
Ohio resident preferred and familiarity with Ohio geography; cities/towns/locations required.
Location:
Currently, this job is a telework position that requires some travel throughout the state of Ohio to visit Immunization Provider Offices and the Immunization Program’s Central Office located at 35 East Chestnut Street, Columbus Ohio.
This position is not entitled to state contractual benefits of healthcare coverage for vision, dental, disability or life insurance. In addition this position does not receive leave accruals of vacation, sick, holiday, personal or any other paid leave.
12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in office practices & procedures of which 3 mos. involved operation of various office equipment; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in public relations or customer service to include techniques for dealing with difficult people; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in state &/or federal laws, rules, policies & procedures applicable to assigned inquiries, requests, complaints &/or transactions to be processed; 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in typing, keyboarding, data entry, or word processing; 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in operation of personal computer.
