About the job

Our Procurement team finds strategic approaches to procuring key resources for Danone like milk, water and plastic.  As a part of this team, you will work with colleagues to find suppliers and resources that fit with our business goals, promote a circular economy and support Danone’s One Planet, One Health vision.  We are looking to hire a Project Manager, Regenerative Agriculture in Broomfield, CO!  In this role, you will support, develop and implement our agriculture strategy to meet our brand commitments and global and regional company goals for Carbon Reduction, Regenerative Agriculture, Biodiversity and Water Preservation.  You will identify opportunities and develop project roadmaps. In addition, you will lead development and execution on multiple, concurrent projects within Danone’s network of Farms or External Suppliers, working “on the ground” with the farms or external suppliers on a regular basis to implement each project.

 

Additionally, you will:


  • Partner with crop growers and work to implement Danone’s strategic regenerative agricultural practices: from crop rotation, crop types, fertilizer and pesticide usage to any other agronomic topics

  • Develop working relationships with crop growers, dairy producers, and external suppliers on behalf of Danone North America in each of our key milk sheds and milk types (Conventional, NGMO, Organic, Grassfed) and/or plant-based sourcing across the country

  • Engage with partners to develop appropriate agronomic strategy fitting each milk region

  • Engage crop growers, dairy producers, and/or external suppliers in identifying barriers to conservation adoption and develop common sense, economically viable solutions to overcome such barriers

  • Develop project, budget, timeline to execution

  • Lead developed projects by respecting the budgets / schedules / quality standards of Danone, using the appropriate tools

  • Monitor, review & communicate projects status

  • Lead group education and training sessions for both Internal and External stakeholders


  • Organize and lead educational workshops, create educational content, connect Agriculture industry experts and area scientists with landowners and farm operators to train on economic and soil health practices implementation

  • Summarize key practices and lessons learned from project participants

  • Create and present economic case studies of successful farmers and/or projects

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

The base compensation range for this position is $80,000-99,000.  Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options.

About you

About You:


  • You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Soil or Animal Science, Sustainability or related degree

  • You will have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in agriculture sourcing, sales, agricultural policy or related field

  • You will have proven experience working with farms producing agricultural commodities or milk

  • You will have experience in commodity supply chain, dairy or agronomy

  • You will have project management skills, be able to drive & manae multiple activities & be able to prioritize & manage your time effectively to meet deadlines

  • You will have rigorous data analysis capability and financial acumen

  • You will be able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment

  • You will be proactive: anticipate issues/opportunities & work through multiple simultaneous projects

  • You will be self-starting

  • You will be able to develop and implement strategic sustainable initiatives, and lead change by engaging people

  • You will be fluent in English + French & Spanish desired but not required

  • You will be open to 50% travel to farms or internal functions by plane or car

  • You will have a US Driver’s license and functioning vehicle
