Infosys is seeking for a senior attorney to join the commercial transactions group of our Legal department, with responsibility for the Americas (U.S., Canada and Latin America) Sales region. In this role as Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for the following - negotiating various agreements with external clients and vendors; providing legal and business counsel to internal clients to resolve issues;  managing external counsel (as applicable); ensuring that all agreements are concluded in accordance with Infosys’ corporate risk parameters and policies and working or leading various department and organization projects as assigned.

Infosys provides services to a broad range of customers including, but not limited to the following industries, financial services, healthcare, consumer products, energy and utilities, media and communications. Experience contracting with customers in these industries, a good working knowledge of the issues that frequently arise and familiarity with the laws and regulations that are associated with these industries would be an added advantage.

Qualification
Basic

• JD from an accredited law institution.


• A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience


• Must be a member of a state bar


• U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.


• Position is across multiple locations within USA including New York NY, Lisle IL; Indianapolis IN; Raleigh NC; Richardson TX; San Francisco CA or Scottsdale AZ. Candidates must be located within commuting distance or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel and/ or relocation.

 Preferred: 

• Blend of relevant law firm and in-house experience; preferably transactional IP/IT focused with at least 4 years of prior in-house experience.


• Experience with litigation (including mediation and arbitration); responding to complaints; drafting settlement agreements.


• Excellent drafting skills: demonstrated experience with commercial transactions, specifically the drafting and negotiation of, but not limited to, the following types of agreements: complex master outsourcing services  and technology-related agreements; software licensing agreements; software reseller and services agreements; sponsorship and marketing agreements; teaming agreements; RFPs and RFIs; non-disclosure agreements; statement of work(s) ;subcontractor agreements; and cloud hosted services agreements.


• Background in outsourcing, information technology, data privacy, intellectual property, software licensing, export control compliance, SaaS, dispute/conflict resolution.


• Project Management Skills - experience overseeing and closing multiple projects and transactions simultaneously. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-based and demanding work environment.


• Creative problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with rapidly changing deadlines and priorities.


• Commitment to ethics and integrity; professionalism and attention to detail and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with demanding internal clients.


• Ability to identify and manage legal and business risk.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.  Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.  Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
