The purpose of the Vendor Relations Manager is to oversee the Court Research Vendor team and delivery of outsourced services. Supporting the Court Research Operations, the Vendor Relations Manager partners with senior management to evaluate vendor performance, needs assessment, spend optimization and risk management. Directs the lifecycle activities for existing contracts. Identifies new partner solutions and works closely with internal business partners to forecast future needs and to develop cost effective strategies aligned with business objectives. Drives the strategy and selection of vendors. Coordinates the negotiation and execution of contracts with the Legal and Contracts departments. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Role Responsibilities
Recruits, trains, and manages relationship for new and existing vendors
Management and development of vendor team members
Maintains vendor service agreements
Conducts regular performance reviews with vendors and direct reports
Reviews weekly quality control reports and shares feedback with vendors
Serves as escalation point for any urgent request or vendor quality concern
Runs regular reports to analyze trends in hit rates, volumes, TATs, and accuracy to proactively identify any problem areas
Ensure timely and consistent follow up in resolving customer complaints/questions
Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal/external customers and department contacts
Know and support approved corporate and departmental compliance policy and procedures
Liaison to support operations to provide feedback regarding operational improvements
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical/problem solving skills
Court Research experience preferred
Minimum Requirements Desired:
Bachelor’s degree
3 years of experience in management
2 years negotiating experience
