Our Procurement team finds strategic approaches to procuring key resources for Danone like milk, water and plastic. As a part of this team, you will work with colleagues to find suppliers and resources that fit with our business goals, promote a circular economy and support Danone's One Planet, One Health vision. We are looking to hire a Senior Program Manager, Regenerative Agriculture to join our team in White Plains, NY! In this role, you will develop the implementation strategy and design and lead programs to structure the regenerative agriculture initiatives, in terms of identification and dissemination of all agriculture projects across various portfolios, farm data management and communication of our best initiatives to Danoners, corporate communication teams and brands. In this position, you will lead the overall on-farm agriculture program management for internal and external funding opportunities (multi-million dollar budgets, supplemented with Public and Private Grants) to meet company and brand goals, like the Horizon Net Carbon positive commitment, launched in 2020. In addition, you will take the lead on structuring the regional agriculture internal and external connection needs to support the Agriculture strategy.

You will:


  • Develop and refine the overall NORAM agriculture project implementation strategy regarding regenerative agriculture, social projects, water preservation, and biodiversity, based upon existing targets and initiatives.

  • Design, manage budget and prioritize all on-farm agriculture projects for execution over the next 5+ years. Create a project gatekeeping approval process and lead the approval process with cross-functional senior leaders.

  • Create persuasive budget and funding requests for a portfolio of projects for internal stakeholder approval and external agencies submissions.

  • Design and coordinate a clear brand connection and external communication strategy between the different stakeholders regionally and globally, in order to contribute to regenerative agriculture and sustainability initiatives for consumers and ensure relevant dissemination to all involved partners.

  • Initiate and manage reporting and communication activities (internal & external) within agreed procedures, timescales and to high standard.

  • Supervise implementation of the initiatives related to best practices, communication and reporting/assessment tools globally by keeping close contact with the local project teams. Build and maintain strong networks (incl. national governments, agricultural and research institutes, non-governmental organizations, consultants).

  • Support opportunities for agriculture project financing and fund raising through networking with internal stakeholders and external public and private parties.

The base compensation range for this position is $105,000-120,000 Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options.

About you

About You:


  • You will have a Master or Bachelor's degree in agronomy, development economics, environmental or social sciences, or related

  • You will have 5-10 years' experience in Agriculture or Sustainability Project Management

  • You will ideally have Dairy Farm knowledge

  • You should be fluent in English and must have excellent research & writing skills. French is a plus.

  • You will have project management skills, to drive and manage multiple activities, prioritize, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

  • You will have excellent stakeholder management skills to manage very diverse stakeholders profiles within and outside of the company

  • You will have excellent communication skills with data driven accurac, be persuasive

  • You will have a willingness to travel (30%)
