Senior Director of Product Management & Portfolio

What do you get to do in this position?


  • Re sponsible for the overall program engineering & management of key programs of Digital Products, focusing on both short- and long-term strategic direction and objectives for the programs.


  • M
    anage technical program/project managers and cross-functional operations, processes, and workflows that support and service the Agile strategy.

  • Act as primary liaison to Schneider Digital CFO organization to ensure smooth Portfolio and FP&A integration with scaled agile program practices.

  • M anage transformation coaches while supporting the organization to adopt scaled agile practices. Responsible for the development process, deliverables, and communication frameworks including administration of project collaboration tools.

  • Pro vide PDLC process expertise and training for the Schneider Digital Products organization.

  • Dire ctly responsible for Program Management staff, including Agile Coaches.

  • Provide oversight and leadership during project execution to ensure development alignment with budget, schedule and scope. Track and report project progress with a keen focus on financial tracking to stakeholders and senior management.

  • De fine project success metrics and provide regular progress on performance analytics on multi-phase milestone projects.

  • A pply scaled agile expertise to ensure that workflows, processes, risks, communications, resources, and quality are managed and applied appropriately.

  • C ollaborate with the Manager and Leads of CoE to determine needs.

  • D efine and plan implementation plans including Transformation roadmap for Scaled Agile transition.

  • E nsure that the COEs established tools, processes, standards and techniques are followed.

  • Define new, adapted versions of SAFe to existing processes and tools.

  • E valuate cost and feasibility of multiple options/alternative to resolve project issues and to make recommendations on those issues that best meet program objectives.

  • L everage his/her deep expertise with Agile principles and methods, large scale solution development and Organizational Change Management.

  • S upervises 6 employees.

  • 25 % travel to meet stakeholders across U.S. and international locations to plan and schedule product roadmaps.

  • Telecommuting: 1 day/week

This job might be for you if:

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a Masters degree in Project Management or a related field and 10 years of work experience in engineering, project management leadership, and software development lifecycles.

Also must have work experience with:


  • Planning, directing and managing technology projects including creating plans for the execution of technical projects with details on schedule, resource, and cost;

  • Managing the execution of technology projects with consistent tracking of overall project health to senior leaders;

  • Providing SDLC expertise and managing overall Product lifecycle including overall software development lifecycle of technology projects and various methodologies used for execution such as Agile and Waterfall;

  • Microsoft Project and Project Portfolio management tools including Planview;

  • Agile software development tools such as Rally/Jira, including configuration, administration, and reporting;

  • Source code control tools such as PVCS or Git;

  • Project management involving schedule, scope, cost, and resource management;

  • Analytics tools such as Power BI/Cognos;

  • Object oriented programming languages including Java or C ; (

  • UNIX operating system and programming platforms including J2EE and .NET;

  • ORACLE and SQL

  • Agile methodology.
