What you'll be doing...

We are looking for an experienced Producer to join our Strategic Events team at Tableau. The Strategic Events team is responsible for creating, communicating, and enabling the events strategy for Tableau globally. We imagine, create, and execute events that are educational, memorable, impactful, relevant, and fun - notably Tableau Conference.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative senior manager with a proven track record in content production for live and virtual events. Broad marketing and event management experience are expected.

Some of the things you'll be doing include...


  • Lead production to ensure flawless delivery of signature and some core internal event programs. Work closely with any external production team and core stakeholders.

  • Develop and execute the global content production and delivery strategy which brings Tableau's insights and advice to life through impactful keynotes and engaging marquee content. Architect and oversee the implementation strategy across all portfolios.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop a complete understanding of the objectives, messaging, priorities and key issues for our audience. Work in collaboration to develop the content architecture, storylines and creative messaging for key programs with executive communications teams. Guide stakeholders through the process and become their trusted advisor.

  • Partner with internal and external production teams to develop creative elements which bring the story to life on stage and enhance the attendee journey for our programs; including stage set (scenic) design, graphics and visuals, and video production. Lead on-site logistics such as load-in/out, rehearsals, scheduling, and demo device management.

  • Partner with brand and events operations team to plan for onsite delivery assets; including staging, graphics, audio, animation and all creative media components. Oversee onsite delivery of keynotes and marquee content.

  • Develop and implement initiatives which enhance the audience experience, deliver results against priorities and improve processes in planning and execution.

  • Develop appropriate processes to effectively scale and operate efficiently.

  • Work with Events leads on the selection of vendors.

  • Provide budget updates in a timely manner to Events Leads.

  • Support and manage any onsite logistics alongside Comms and Events team, such as speaker support/coaching, load-in / load-out management of keynote room / tech and content checks amongst others.

  • To be successful in this role, some domestic and international travel will be required

  • Reports to Content lead on the Events Team.

Who you are...



  • Experienced. 7 years' experience in events industry in related roles.


  • Domain. Project management and keynote production experience. End to end understanding of live event keynote and large scale session production.


  • Relentlessly High Standards. Flawless client experience with high client satisfaction scores and strong client engagement


  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills ensure transparent communication


  • Technically Savvy. Live event technical understanding (ie what the technology can give you, not necessarily operating) and full event keynote production experience
