The Inside Sales Specialist will be specifically focused on business development activities by generating new Alt. & Jan-San channel projects and revenue growth by pursuing leads, monitoring project development, tracking, pricing, and driving sales funnel activities. This role will leverage multiple lead generation sources to advance opportunities from "Lead to Order" and generate incremental business for Zurn's Alt & Jan-san channel.
Proactively seek new opportunities for Zurn within the Jan-San channel by generating and following-up on leads with Jan-San partners (Distributors, Reps, Service Providers, OEM's).
Work with BDM's to facilitate pricing, presentation development and negotiation of product placement deals.
Extend and communicate strategic growth opportunities to potential customers and targeted prospects.
Serve as customer success champion during initial contact and qualify customer needs. Respond to customer inquiries (written and verbally), aligning Zurn's products/capabilities/services to customer requirements.
Work closely with the Jan-San business development and product management teams when responding to a Request for Proposal (RFP), gathering information on market conditions, pricing and competitive landscape.
Selectively participate in trade shows, meetings, and industry events.
Maintain accurate account files of all customers, written communications, projects and leads via CRM.
Provide frequent and bi-lateral reporting and communication to internal customers (sales/marketing/communications) of outcomes of negotiations/proposals focusing on conveying the expectations set forth i.e. clear details, critical timeframes, and expectations.
Track and report status of all projects generated by leads via Jan-San Customer Funnel.
Collaborate with Jan-San BDM team to continuously improve ROI of lead generation sources/processes.
Build strong networks within Zurn to direct or respond to customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner.

Experience and Skill Required
Bachelor's Degree required. Business or marketing degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years related experience in sales, technical service, sales support, or marketing.
Working knowledge of Jan-San industry and distribution a plus.
Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with various stakeholders across multiple functional levels within an organization to meet customer needs and generate sales.
Proficiency with an ERP, Excel, and CRM preferred.
Extremely motivated, resourceful, flexible, assertive, results oriented self-starter who can prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly visible BU and dynamic environment.
Strong organizational and analytical skills needed for tracking, managing, and analyzing customer lead ROI.
Comfortable working independently and confident in making decisions as it relates to obtaining information for customer requests
