Responsibilities:
Strategy
Takes company business strategy and defines an IT systems architecture to support that strategy
Recommends and participates in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture (EA)
Monitor current and future trends, technology, and information that will affect organizational projects
Apply and integrate emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture
Leadership
Ensure architectural principles such as high-performance scalability, reuse, and simplicity are implemented
Provide expert-level technology consultation to application architects during project design and development phase
Mentor application architects, technical leads and developers
Design, document, and evangelize data architecture standards and policies
Lead internal architecture review board
Lead proof of technology / proof of concept
Execution
Create and maintain data architecture documentation
Develop, present and build consensus for roadmaps
Create and provide messaging to company senior leadership and customer technical peers
Conducting architectural risk assessments and architecture reviews of systems
Evaluation and recommendation of vendor software and tools
Act as subject matter expert for Sales and Customer Support for responding to RFP, RFI and Customer roadshows
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience or Master's degree with minimum of 5 years of experience in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA)
Strong working knowledge of relational databases
Expert knowledge of design techniques, database design patterns, and technical architectures
Increasing exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of technical significance
Experience with source control tools (CVS, Subversion, TFS, Git) and methodologies
Experience with Application design using complex Workflows, and a high degree of App-To-App data exchange
Experience with Modernizing Legacy Application solutions
Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and task management skills
Managing and mentoring staff in area of expertise
Healthcare experience a plus
