The Division of Pulmonary Medicine and The Center for Lung Research at CHOP are dedicated to understanding the cellular and molecularmechanisms underlying lung diseases. Ongoing studies in the Zepp lab are aimed at understanding how cell identity is maintained and how cells respond to environmental inputs. TheZepp lab is translating these findings to better understand and identify molecular targets in lung diseases. The Zepp lab takes a comprehensive approach that includes genetic mouse models, three-dimensional in vitro cell culture, live imaging, molecular and transcriptomic profiling to interrogate novel cellular processes.
In close collaboration with Zepp lab and other lab staff, the Research Technician II plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the laboratory. Specific duties include animal husbandry (mice), genotyping, and related experiments utilizing both murine models and in vitro cell culture systems for molecular studies.
Extensive mice handling and colonymanagementexperienceis a must
Required Education: Associates Degree
Required Experience: Nine (9) months of laboratory experience
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
