What You'll Do The Ultrasound Technician is an integral part of the Hillcrest Hospital South team. The primary purpose of the Ultrasound Technician is to assist Radiologist, Doctors and other healthcare professionals with performing all ultrasound practices and procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot Ultrasound equipment
Accurately position patients for scanning utilizing immobilization and protective equipment on a "as-needed" basis.
Accurately recognize and record the appropriate anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment
Evaluate images for technical quality, exposure and transmit to PACS.
Assist Radiologist and other members of Hillcrest Hospital South during interventional procedures
Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations
Demonstrating compassion and professional demeanor at all times
What You'll Bring Minimum Requirements
Possess a certification that is recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA)
A minimum of one (1) year experience as an Ultrasound Technician is preferred, but not required.
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, administrative and organizational skills.
Ability to demonstrate an intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc..), and be willing to learn other company specific software as needed
Be willing and able to maintain professional standards of practice and adhere to Hillcrest's Code of Conduct policies at all times
