Tindall is currently hiring for a Bed Crew Leader for 1st Shift. This will be a leadership role for our Prestress production department, and you will be responsible for directing the daily activities of a bed crew such as directing and assisting bed crew in setting up and pouring a bed and insuring that all cables, steel pieces and other materials are properly placed.

Job Description



As a Bed Crew Leader, you will be responsible for completing the following duties:


  • Daily review of shop cards for days pour and plan required preparations to set up bed.

  • Communicates with appropriate support employees to ensure that all necessary materials are brought to the bed.

  • Directs the crew as to the correct locations of all wood, steel, and other materials.

  • Continually checks the layout of the bed with daily shop cards throughout the shift to ensure accurate construction of concrete member.

  • Directing and assisting employees to ensure that concrete member has correct finish.

  • Ensures that crew members appropriately strip bed, cleaning, oiling, placing bulkheads, plates, rebar, etc. throughout the shift.

  • Help or assist with daily toolbox, production and/or safety meetings.

  • Works as a production team member by being responsible for any additional duties that the Production Supervisor describes are needed to meet the production deadlines.

  • This position is a leadership role for production. As a company representative to all crew members, this individual must be able to listen and communicate appropriately in any situation. Must be capable of responding to production with very high sense of urgency.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Education and Experience


  • Must have at least 2+ years of precast concrete experience and at least 6 months of leadership experience.

  • High school Diploma/GED is required.
