Ideal candidates will have experience in 3-5 years experience in consulting for Big 4 in Financial Services, Corporate Finance or Operations

Summary
The Solutions Engineer serves as the technical and solution expert to assist in mapping a customer's needs to our application across one or more domain areas. In addition, the Solutions Engineer may lead technical discussions on sales calls with customers and provide support for marketing through trade show attendance, presentations, product channel trainings, and webinar presentations and hosting.

Responsibilities


  • Works with the sales team to engage customers, prospects, and partners via phone, web, or onsite meetings, drive the discovery process, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs.

  • Offers subject matter expertise in Workiva technology and solutions, and demonstrate how we can the customer's goals and objectives. Builds and presents business cases and proposals that articulate Workiva's value and ROI.

  • Ensures customer success by working with Workiva Client Services team for smooth on-boarding and long term success.

  • Engage customers and drive discovery of needs aligned to Workiva Capabilities.

  • Leverage subject matter expertise in technology and solutions to align to the customer's need.

  • Qualifies, develops, and helps close opportunities leveraging cross organizational team members.

  • Develops expertise across multiple domain areas developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact.

  • Broadly shares subject matter, application, technical, market and customer insights and experience.

  • Develops new use-cases or by using existing templates providing proof of our solution's impact and value proposition.

  • Conducts process assessments with customers, builds Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, builds and presents customer specific business cases.

What You'll Need
Education

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.


Skills


  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement.

  • A strong individual contributor with intellectual curiosity to positively impacting accounts and opportunities.

  • Ability to leverage Workiva prioritized sales methodologies on a consistent basis.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products' use in a large organization is a plus.

  • Technical experience with SaaS, cloud-based solutions, architecture, databases, and programming is a plus.

  • Experience with other ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, or Analytics & Reporting solutions is a plus.


Experience


  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, corporate finance (FP&A), or presales.

  • Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives.

  • Sr. Associate or Consultant level in the Big Four or public accounting preferred.

  • Hands on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures preferred.


Working Conditions & Physical Requirements


  • 40-70% travel

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.
