JOB DESCRIPTION *

Job Description *

Role and Responsibilities:

Responsible for IT customer support (helpdesk) functions including monitoring, maintaining, and dispersing daily help desk requests.

Responsible for in/out processing of organization personnel, along with adding, maintaining and removing accounts, security groups and E-Mail distribution lists.

Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues.

Responsible for desktop client administration duties for Microsoft Windows 10 workstations.

Responsible for installing and maintaining the Air Force Standard Desktop Configuration and Secure Host Baseline across multiple enclave networks/systems.

Responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and disposing of desktops, laptops, thin clients, mobile devices and peripherals, such as printers, scanners and labelers.

Responsible for removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machine.

Responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, and patching to the latest version of application and operating systems.

Responsible for maintaining an inventory of installed software and software licensing.

Responsible for providing support (e.g. equipment deployment, maintaining connectivity) to end users who are teleworking to ensure communication is maintained.

Responsible for data transfers for the IT team.

Responsible for virus definition updates.

Responsible for administrative support and coordination for various Video Teleconference (VTC) Systems, to include equipment set-up and user training.

Responsible for installing, configuring, updating and deploying VoIP phones

Assist with running cables throughout the facility.

Assist in hardening Microsoft and Linux operating system workstations and servers.

Assist with researching and requesting purchase of new hardware and software products as well as other Information Operation equipment and tools.

Responsible for planning and organizing work, and collaborating/coordinating work with coworkers and customers to meet deadlines supporting mission requirements.

Responsible for maintaining work force certification for IAT Level II with a commitment to achieve additional relevant system certifications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree preferred. Associates with equivalent experience for a total of at least 8 years systems administration experience.

Must possess a currently active Top Secret security clearance. Background investigation must have been completed within the last five (5) years or must be enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation Program within the last five (5) years.

Must possess a current Security+ CE certification sponsored by Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) in compliance with DoD 8570.01-M. Be able to show progress toward timely completion of continuing education (CE).

Preferred Skills:

Working knowledge of client configuration and user account administration.

Experience with troubleshooting desktop operating systems and network connectivity issues, as well as application support.

Experience with NIPRnet and SIRPnet networks.

Working knowledge of DoD Secure Host Baseline.

Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework.

Microsoft certification desired.

Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange.

Experience with McAfee EPO server to include definition files deployment for network and stand-alone systems.

Working knowledge of network cabling installation & termination (CAT-5/6 & Fiber-optic SC/LC connectors).

Working knowledge of Tanberg/CISCO VTC equipment.

Working knowledge of General Dynamics Secte'ra Viper phones.

Be well organized and capable of working in a highly classified/complex computer environment.

Able to work well with others.

Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Additional Notes

Able to lift office computer equipment including servers, desktop computers, printers.

Able to climb an 8-foot ladder.

Able to use common hand tools including screwdrivers, socket wrenches, pliers, wire crimpers, and diagonal cutters.

Able to learn network testing equipment for fiber-optic and CAT-5/6 cables.
