The Nursing Office Coordinator provides comprehensive support to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, coordinating
and implementing functions relating to that position. This position performs a wide variety of duties requiring
independent judgment utilizing knowledge of office and hospital procedures. Reporting to the Associate Chief Nursing
Officer, the Staffing Office Manager also assists the Nurse Managers and Nursing Administrative Supervisors in
providing appropriate nursing staff coverage while performing the daily operations of the Nursing Staffing Office.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Associates Degree required, Bachelors degree preferred
Experience
Administrative or office management experience preferred. Preferably in a healthcare setting.
Licensure and/or Certification
None required.
Skills
Excellent administrative, organizational, customer service and communication skills.
Professional telephone etiquette
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to work independently and make decisions with designated authority
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Computer skills required, including but not limited to Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and
Meditech applications
Experience with Patient Care Link, NDNQI, and Kronos strongly recommended.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Knowledge of the hospital and nursing service administrative functions.
