Job Description:

Greenheck Fan is very proud of its involvement in the cooperative education process and is committed to furthering a student's education by partnering them with full-time engineers/employees and providing hands-on experience. All co-op students are treated as "real" employees, as we understand gaining real life experience is key in this relationship. We have been extremely pleased with the results of the co-op program, and have found it to be a win-win relationship. Our co-op program runs January thru August and June thru December. Manufacturing Engineer Co-op

General Summary: Enhance factory productivity, cost reduction and Greenheck product quality through the analysis, continued improvement and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, material flow, plant layout, methods and product design.

• Support Greenheck Production System (GPS) including: Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Design for Excellence and Maintenance Excellence.


• Improve manufacturing efficiency by improving work methods, labor standards, material flow, and routings.


• Work with shop floor personnel and design engineers to decrease costs, increase production, reduce waste and refine product design.


• Develop standard operating procedures for various manufacturing processes. (SOP's)


• Provide analysis data to procure new or upgrade equipment and tooling to achieve maximum capacity, productivity and cost reduction.

Typical Projects:

• Resolve current continuous improvement projects


• Resolve corrective action requests


• Continually improve Greenheck designs
