What you'll do

Asa SaaS Technical Product Manager on the Cloud Programs team at SAS, youwill be responsiblefor shapingSAS'sadvanced analytics platform into an indispensable solution for enterprise customers across the globe. With your knowledge of cloud computing, you will help grow our "as-a-services" businessesmore quickly. You will work on a team that manages our platform strategy, shaping the future of how that platformaligns with the transformative journey thatcustomershave embarked on to incorporate analytics into their business processes.This rolealso works across multiple business units within SAS to help ensure a world-class SaaS customer experience.

You will:

    Define and prioritize product requirements based onbusiness drivers,customer inputs, market direction,and field contribution.
  • Translate business requirements into technical, functional, and non-functional requirements.

  • Define user personas andwriteuse cases.

  • Collaborate with and drive product development in R&D based on requirements management, risk management, risk mitigation,and product lifecycles.

  • Support product launches as primary content providerto facilitateknowledge transfer of product functionality to marketing and sales.

  • Presentproduct vision, roadmap, and software demonstrations to internal constituents, customers, press, analysts, and others.

  • Identifynew market opportunities and evaluate emerging technology and business issues that may present opportunities or threats to the company.

  • Serve as aproduct champion by analyzing external market trends, competition, opportunities that impact the user, and capabilities of the platform.

What we're looking for


  • You're curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.

  • 5+ years of experience inproduct management, marketing,sales,consulting, or related function in the technology industry, preferablywith a software vendor.

  • Knowledge and experience withSoftware-as-a-Service (SaaS) and/or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) business models.

The nice to haves


  • Advanced knowledge with container and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with:

    • Amazon Web Services,Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud.

    • Productizing functions as a service.

    • API management platforms andwith 'APIs as products'.

    • Design thinking.

  • Exceptionalwritten and verbal communication skills, with theability to engage in technical discussions with customers, partners, and industry analysts.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills with demonstrated history of making good decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative environment across multiple business units.

  • Ability to innovate and define creative solutions with compelling user experiences that exceed customer expectations

  • A self-starter with bias toward action andtheknow-how to balance getting details right while still moving fast.
