Position Description
Working within a cardiology department, the Patient Care Tech II will provide nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients, and will assist patients with transport to and from cardiac procedural areas. This position will perform EKGs, and assist nursing staff with patient care in the cath lab admit recovery unit and cardiology diagnostic procedural areas. The Patient Care Tech II may perform phlebotomy and procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients and performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.Position Requirements
REQUIRED
Listed as a CNA on the Georgia Registry OR b. Graduate of a U.S. Military Medic course OR c. Enrolled in a School of Nursing and has completed one (1) full semester of clinical rotations OR d. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Medical Degree program
Must have one year of patient care experience in a hospital or acute care setting
Current BLS card (CPR)
Primarily Mon-Fri 7a-3:30p schedule but may require an occasional weekend

PREFERRED
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant Course.
EKG and phlebotomy skills preferred.
