Production Operator I - TEMP at Bio-Rad Laboratories in Santa Rosa, California

Job Description:

Executes a variety of tasks that includes receipt and verification of materials, calibration and operation of equipment, dispensing or packaging dry and/ or wet products, capping and torqueing of bottles, assembly of components and kits, performing calculations, and completing required documentation following Good Documentation Practices. This job family applies to instrument assembly, consumables assembly, packaging, dispensing, print shop, injection molding etc.

This is a swing shift.

Responsibilities

• Operates complex production equipment such as filling equipment, automated systems, lyophlization equipment etc.


• Sets up, tear down and calibrates equipment according to procedures.


• Applies labels; caps and torques bottles; and, seals bags and boxes.


• Operates and troubleshoots a variety of manual and semi-automated equipment.


• Advanced troubleshooting and repairs as needed.


• Train and mentors other production operators.


• May be required to work on new product activities including pilot builds and evaluations.


• Operates multiple production lines and machines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Experienced in operating and/or troubleshooting complex equipment such as automation cells, test fixtures, complex fill lines etc.


• 4+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Ability to train and mentor production operators.


• Technical background is highly desirable.
