Pacific Coast Producers, leading private-label food manufacturer, is seeking a Demand Planner to support the Business Development Department at its Corporate Office in Lodi, CA.

Reporting to the VP, Business Development, this non-exempt position will provide information, analysis and recommendations to drive planning decisions. You will work with forecasts of sales volume and pricing, and exception reporting. This is instrumental for our business success as forecasts provide guidance for seasonal production, financial planning, and inventory replenishment. This position will require significant interaction with the sales department to ensure customer account and item changes are reflected in the forecast system. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is highly inquisitive, analytical and detail oriented.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work with Sales to maintain forecasts that accurately reflect customer/item trends within the constraints of physical inventory on hand
  • Responsible for forecast input (data entry) and maintenance
  • Forecast versus trend analysis
  • Assist in development of Annual Operating Plan through forecast alteration
  • Work with Supply Chain stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy
  • Assist with pricing maintenance for Annual Operating Plan

Key Competencies/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or related field or 2 years' experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Experience with forecasting, buying/inventory planning and/or control processes preferred
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Proficiency in MS Access
  • Strong interest and ability in analytics
  • Ability to research, gather, monitor, validate, and report on information from multiple sources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated, with strong organizational skills (multi-tasking)
  • Capable of building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Working with forecast software a plus
