Job Details:

Serve on the Integrated Information Management Systems – Information Technology Support Services (IIMS-ITSS) contract as an Enterprise Management, Master System Administration (SA) Lead for the JSSC at the Pentagon, Washington DC, responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of multiple JSSC owned/operated systems and providing customer application development/administration supporting systems within the National Military Command Center (NMCC) Command and Control System (NCCS) Operating Environment (OE) with a strong emphasis on IBM Tivoli Applications/Enterprise Management Applications, Oracle database, Apache, Perl/Shell Scripting, and NetApp hardware and software.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:


  • Analyze diagnostics of applications, system and vendor software, and resolve operating system/database management system/application system performance/challenges, administer/execute utilities, system and vendor software; and monitoring and tuning systems/applications within the NCCS OE


  • Create/Engineer custom applications and or processes to include creating web applications, developing script bases tasks, building custom applications, installing/configuring different applications, and operating and maintaining the custom applications while ensuring version control and providing software packaging and delivery support


  • Exercise sound independent judgement in developing methods, masterly level techniques, and evaluation criteria associated with obtaining results under this contract; and identify upgrade needs, and anticipate customer requirements by effectively planning, scheduling, and overseeing system upgrades.


  • Conduct analysis, to define, analyze and allocate system requirements to support system tests and analyze testing results.  Conducts performance monitoring and analysis of system requirements and components and performs system audits to ensure all intended system functionality, operations and performance requirements are achieved to provide support when required and support cybersecurity and IA policy efforts to maintain the cybersecurity posture of supported systems, related hardware, and support tools


  • Provide technical / management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments to maintains systems and applications. Interact with both customer and contract leadership relating complex technical issues and solutions with confidence in a manner to establish a partnership and assurance to improve the customer’s operating environment by providing expert support while also maintaining the cybersecurity/IA posture of systems/hardware managed/administered for both JSSC and JSSC’s customers’ assets


  • Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives applying domain and expert technical knowledge. Direct and control activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. 


  • Provide systems engineering support on large-scale systems, major system elements, and/or interfacing systems and develop strategic and implementation plans for larger-scale information systems.  Develop system architecture and designs including software, hardware, communications and interface requirements.


  • Lead systems definition, trade-off and design activities, prepare, review, evaluate, and analyze system designs, prepare and evaluate system documentation, specifications, test plans and procedures.


  • Compliance with all safety and security standards and perform other duties/projects as assigned


  • Exercise sound judgement with an ability to follow provided processes, procedures and checklists associated with obtaining results under this contract, compliance with all training, safety, and security standards and perform other duties/projects as assigned

Education and Experience: 

Required


  • Minimum active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to be Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) indoctrinated

  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT-II) Certification, and

  • Related IT Bachelor's Degree or related discipline plus 10 years of technical experience providing system/database administration support to include customer application development and or;

  • IT Master's Degree plus 8 Years of technical experience providing system/database administration support to include customer application development and or;

  • 15 years equivalent technical experience providing system/database administration support to include customer application development and or may be substituted.

 Preferred


  • DoD 8570 IAT-II Certification: CompTIA Security+CE

  • CE Certification: CompTIA Linux+

Desired


  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Version 3 Foundation Certification
