Position Description:

Responsible for the hands-on, safe and efficient operation, preventive maintenance and machine changeovers of Thermoshape molding equipment in manner to achieve optimal results.

Responsibilities:


  • Operates production equipment  to achieve optimal results


  • Independently performs mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.


  • Makes adjustments and repairs on machinery in the assigned designated work area as authorized by shift leader under site guidelines of centerlining.


  • Un-jams / realigns / conveyor systems.


  • Monitors and performs necessary setting adjustments as authorized by leader under site guidelines for centerlining.


  • Independently completes preventative maintenance requirements.


  • Follows all material requirements and customer specifications.


  • Performs and records product quality assurance checks in accordance with customer specifications.


  • Documents all production and production losses in computer programs.


  • Completes all mandatory reports.


  • Knowledge of specific area’s reliability, quality, scrap and safety goals.


  • Follows all company and local work rules, safety rules and policies, BOS work instructions and SAP standards and activities.


  • Works in a safe and efficient manner at all times.


  • Attends all required training sessions and team meetings.


  • Functions within an ISO/Team environment effectively. 


  • Observes all local and Company safety policies and procedures as well as housekeeping requirements.


  • Other job-related duties as assigned.


  • Initiate action for food safety issues


Qualifications:


  • Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on equipment

  • Must have own tools, with the exception of any specialty tools.  Tool list will be provided upon offer of job.

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and to stand throughout entire shift

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Manual dexterity

  • Good eye and hand coordination

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Mechanically skilled as verifiable by transcript, reference, testing, or other approved methods.

  • Strong inter-personal skills

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
