Design or assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance processes including all process required in the AS9100 Quality Management System standard. Improve these processes by developing team members and maintaining work flow. Manage the quality assurance department and it’s personnel including salaried and hourly team members. Manage the product quality disposition and the corrective actions from this process. Interact and communicate with other departments with respect to quality risks, capabilities, defects, and dispositions that effect product deliveries. Champion the processes to reduce the costs of poor product quality.

Qualifications:

·   Continuous Improvement Champion - Demonstrates a solid understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.

·   Planning - ability to plan work and set SMART work goals.

·   Time Management skills – well organized and able to prioritize effectively.

·   Performance management - setting clear job/performance standards and measurement of achievement to goal, training plans and employee discipline.

·   Strong Coaching skills – ability to develop employees through training and coaching.  Good conflict resolution skills.

·   Effective communicator – verbally and in writing.

·   Effective Team Builder – with employees and cross functionally.

·   Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of SPC, and to train employees on SPC.

·   Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs

·   Ability to walk and stand 100% of shift

·   Ability to work overtime if needed, including weekends if needed
