The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Interface Architect, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Interface Discovery:  Gathering and documenting information; assessing requirements for an interface implementation.

  • Design: Designing the complete interface specifications and interface test plan

  • Communication:  Conference call and direct discussions with internal customers, external customers, and implementation team members.

  • Build interfaces according to M*Modal Interface standards and client specifications. This includes interface development/configuration within the Connexion interface engine utilizing the C# programming language.

  • Build Fluency for Imaging and M*Modal Scout Windows servers utilizing established M*Modal best practices and guidelines.

  • Communicate progress to customer and M*Modal stakeholders.

  • Prepare proper documentation for interfaces builds and ensure compliance with all internal audit criteria.

  • Perform any and all work requests in conjunction with interfaces including additions, changes or system upgrades.

  • Provides assistance wherever necessary within the M*Modal organization (i.e., Support, etc.)

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of six (6) years of experience working with HL7 interfaces in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement

  • Two (2) years or greater experience within the radiology/imaging specialty

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and socket communications, MS SQL database management and configuration, Windows Server environments, programming background, and HL7 protocol.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments.

  • Ability to analyze issues and problem solve effectively.

  • Previous experience with C# programming language

  • Previous experience with implementation and training for HL7 related applications and processes

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: Remote

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
