The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with divisional HR management in supporting the divisional HR teams. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas:

Administers and responds to inquires with regards to health, dental, life, disability, 401k and Unemployment insurance as well as daily contact with employees or family members regarding benefit questions and/or problems etc for the all PVG sites.
Works directly with Corporate Benefits team to resolve issues with regards to employee benefits and enrollment changes.
Handles all FMLA and Disability claims for the Pressure Vessel Group.
Process all work comp claims with current comp carrier. Coordinate any light duty restrictions with Safety/Trainer Manager. Meet weekly with company Occupational Health nurse.
Other:
Able to backfill Human Resources Coordinator, Human Resources Manager, and divisional HR Team Members as needed.
Handles day-to-day employee questions and concerns.
Act as a liaison for committees, corporate and SPVG HR team.
Qualifications:
Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications (i.e. MS Office applications).
Completion of post-secondary education, with a major in Human Resources or related field.
Three – Five years of experience in multi-disciplined HR environment.
Strong verbal and written communication
Must be able to practice effective self-management
