The Residence Life Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Residence Life business office. They help maintain multiple databases and reports, and they manage the contracting and billing process for all housing facilities. The Operations Manager also helps to facilitate the move-in and move-out processes that take place throughout the academic year. They also serve as the primary contact for prospective students, current students, and parents/guardians. The Operations Manager provides direct supervision to two office assistants and reports to the Director of Residence Life.
Required Qualification
Associate's degree required.
Experience in a customer-related field with the demonstrated ability to react to customers quickly, accurately, and congenially.
Experience that demonstrates strong communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills, business skills, and strong management skills.
Experience that demonstrates efficiency and accuracy with regard to data entry and file maintenance.
Experience that demonstrates sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disabled backgrounds of community college students.
Experience that demonstrates a strong desire to work with a variety of people on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience working in student services in higher education/
Supervisory experience with regard to both operations and staff.
Physical Demands
Ability to occasionally lift 10 pounds. Requires prolonged sitting. Use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone. Some travel, by vehicle, may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, strong management and organizational skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, decision-making, and high degree of interpersonal skills is required. Work is routinely performed in an office environment.
Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a good driving record and a valid U.S driver's license.
