An exciting opportunity is now available for an Interim Vice President of Nursing at a well respected Medical Center in Southern New Mexico
The Interim Nursing Vice President will join a hospital with strong ties to the surrounding community and that has built a reputation for excellent patient care and outstanding services. The Interim Vice President of Nursing will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer CEO and serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. This position will work alongside hospital administrators, nurse directors, nurse managers and support staff. During their time with the facility, this leader will be expected to encourage best practice amongst all nursing department leaders and promote and encourage professional development of all Nursing service personnel.
On top of providing top-notch leadership to staff, the Interim VP of Nursing will participate in forecasting trends, initiating procedures, and offering insights to improve the quality of care. This person will collaborate with medical staff regarding clinical aspects of patient care and acts as a representative of nursing service on a variety of Medical Staff Committees. In addition to strong leadership and management acumen, the Nursing VP should also have Union experience.
This position will be responsible for the direction and planning of all nursing services throughout this community hospital. These responsibilities include providing leadership and administering patient care programs, aiding in the development of new services, and participating in strategic hospital planning. The Interim Nursing VP will also participate in the review and revision of quality improvement processes.
