Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor with a dotted line to the Heart Center Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the scheduling of cardiovascular lab procedures, registration and preparation thereof while emboding NGHS's Core Values at all times. Ensures the delivery of outstanding customer service while multi-tasking. Financially secures patient's account by verifying and obtaining complete and accurate patient demographic information, insurance benefits, eligibility, verification of pre-certification obtained from insurance companies and/or Physicians offices. Communicates patient responsibility, collects co-pay/deductible and completes the entire registration process in a pleasant and efficient manner.
Minimum Job Qualifications
High School Diploma
Must be able to type 35-45 wpm. Proficient in the use of office equipment (computer, fax, telephone, scanning copier). Medical terminology, data entry and computer experience, admitting, business office, collection, Physician office experience and working with public preferred. Must be mobile and push patient in wheelchair, if necessary between any location within hospital campus
