Summary of the Group
Antibody Discovery & Protein Engineering (ADPE) is responsible for the discovery and optimization of next generation biologics to create biological drug candidates for all key therapeutic areas such as oncology, respiratory and inflammation, cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases. We're constantly pushing the boundaries of science to deliver life-changing medicines to patients, with a pass for the development of in-house biologics discovery platforms and novel drug modalities to address unmet medical needs.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Design and perform drug conjugation experiments to support antibody drug conjugate (ADC) pipeline and technology development
Use FPLC to purify mg to gram scale conjugates using various chromatography techniques.
Perform biochemical and biophysical characterization of ADCs
Develop and optimize novel conjugation and purification methodologies, including high-throughput conjugation and purification.
Strong capability in experimental design and data analysis skills
Effectively present data internally and externally
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or other relevant scientific field with 4+ years (BS degree) or 2+ years (MS degree) of relevant experience.
Hands-on experience in protein labeling and/or drug bioconjugation from mg to gram scale.
Hands-on experience in purifying large scale conjugates using HIC, IEX, SEC and affinity chromatography using AKTA or other FPLC.
Experience in analytic methods such as SEC, HIC, IEX, LC-MS, DLS, RP-HPLC, etc.
The ability to learn new technologies quickly and ability to perform in a fast-paced, matrix-structured work environment
Great teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience with routine DNA/RNA techniques, protein expression and purification
Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques
Experience in in vitro cell killing assays with ADCs
Good knowledge in antibody engineering and therapeutics
