Position Summary:
Processes incoming and outbound deliveries.
Responsibilities:
Schedules daily LTL and TL orders in the traffic management system for (2) Homerville shipping locations (approximately 50-90 orders/day)
Ensure adherence to environmental health and Safety systems
Updates daily shipping reports, monitors KPI's, and updates personnel as required
Works closely with Customer Service and Planning departments to schedule shipments and de-conflicts scheduling issues when needed
Requests proof of delivery from carriers and tracks loads from time of shipment to delivery
Provides updates to customers, Customer Service Representatives and Corporate Account Managers
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years experience in a high volume setting
Inventory, warehouse, and receiving experience required
Materials handling experience preferred
Ability to work in a self-directed environment.
Communication skills necessary to coordinate activities among various parties, including internal and external customers and vendors
Must demonstrate the following:
Strong Interpersonal and communications skills
Computer Skills-Traffic Management Systems, SAP, Microsoft Office
Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to multitask
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
High degree of accuracy with data entry
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours per shift)
