Reports to Coordinator/Director. Maintains communication with families in Heart Center. Keeps families updated regarding patient status. Arranges new patient charts with all required paperwork. Monitors and orders replacement of supplies and materials according to predetermined levels.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Medical Terminology is required. Up to 1 year experience is required.
Knowledge & Skills
High school courses, with training in communications and English.
Ability to read, write legibly, and perform and understand detailed instructions.
Ability to type 30 wpm preferred and files accurately.
Will be expected to become familiar with cardiovascular procedures.
Working Conditions
Works in a hospital office and patient care environment.
Physical Demands
Work normally performed in sitting positions; however, some walking around is required, and filing requires bending, stooping, and standing.
May involve occasional periods of lifting and transporting patients.
