The Environmental Health & Safety Intern will gain general knowledge of managing safety and environment as it relates to manufacturing, logistics, and design. This intern will also get experience in learning how to communicate with various professional in different locations!
Regional level (Manufacturing, Depots and Engineering) support for CNH North America operations EHS&E compliance, WCM and Enterprise Management System with responsibility for the following tasks:
1. Assist in development and implementation of World Class Manufacturing tools for safety, health, environment and energy pillars 2. Manage the workflow for nonconformance/compliance audit management including assurance and participation in the corrective action root cause analysis setting milestones and tracking status 3. Manage the objective/target project sheet creation including the: Collection of Plant approved evaluation forms, Activities to achieve target, Measurement and Verification, Milestones/Roles and Responsibilities. 4. Assist in tracking projects and following up on status 5. Assist in improving procedures/evidence to support the certification readiness to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 5001 creating records, closing identified gaps with plants, conducting desktop/onsite visits to close gaps. 6. Maintain Standard File System for EHSE Files for compliance, management system, and WCM 7. Create NA region EHSE AWARENESS TRAINING 8. Close existing North American EHS Procedure (NAEHSP) Gaps: work with program manager, verify implementation and annual review; Record Repository using EHSE software, Make modifications to NAEHSPs 9. Risk Assessment support and documentation 10. Develop new NASPs for Ergonomics, Health and Wellness and Asbestos, TSF approvals, Refrigerants 11. Support grading system for SMAT/EMAT and SEWO/EEWO completion 12. Assist in development and implementation of World Class Manufacturing tools for safety, environment and energy pillars 13. Support EHSE software use and further development 14. EHS&E data collection and trend analysis, including regional incidents, identification of green suppliers and others as assigned 15. Support EHSE activities, actions, and deliverables
Pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, Health Safety, or related degree area. Previous
Previous experience in manufacturing or agricultural settings.
Experience in occupational health and safety or industrial environmental regulations.
Knowledge of ISO management systems.
