The Build Environment Manager will work closely with Development, Deployment and QA to provide configuration and release management support, technical expertise, and administration of Octopus Deploy, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server (including SSRS & SSIS), Novalys Visual Guard, Redgate Digital Lifecycle Management (DLM), and other related software development tools.
Skills Required
- Extensive knowledge of Octopus Deploy - Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server including, including architecture, administration, build server, process & vNext build template modification, and workflow modification - Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio - Knowledge of SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and scripting - Experience in TFS Command line and Powershell for automation - IIS Application Installs - Team Foundation Power Tools - Experience in branching strategy, and supporting parallel development & deployment using different branches - Experience with CIS Benchmark hardening of server and IIS configurations - TFS Rest API
Skills Preferred
- Solid understanding of Systems and Software Development Life Cycles - Good understanding of Software Configuration Management and release management processes and methodologies
Experience Required
- 4 years of experience in Software Configuration Management (SCM) with focus on Octopus Deploy and Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) - Experience with project development methodology and the ability to apply methodology in a practical manner - Ability to work independently and not rely on State or other team members for direction - Implementing and maintaining tools necessary to support version and change control - Maintaining Best Practices for building and releasing software - Automating and Maintaining version and change management/build/release procedures - Facilitating integration with existing business systems within the organization - Providing strategic plans for global SCM administration and operations - Supporting all activities and tool solutions associated with in-use development software - Reporting Services knowledge to generate customized TFS reports - Reviewing the components of TFS to maintain optimal configuration states
Experience Preferred
- Experience with Medicaid Beneficiary Services Eligibility Determination Operations - Administer software requirements for the development teams - Monitor security and access for the development teams and development environments
Education Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience
